When we visited the city, though, we found a number of artists with their eyes (and ears) firmly set towards the future. After our time in the Motor City, it's clear to us that Detroit will endure and innovate for years to come."

London Pirate Radio

"Pirate radio is everywhere in London, born in the 60’s from rusting anti-aircraft towers in the mouth of the Thames. Today’s broadcasts are hidden in plain sight, transmitting from secret tower block studios via homemade rooftop antennas."

Vice and Palladium filmed a great documentary about the London's pirate radios for their documentary series, Exploration. London Pirate Radio is the sixth in these series and it features many pirate radioheads like Logan Sama, Matt Mason (author of the book The Pirate's Dilemma) and 60's original pirate Tony Pine.

2009'a gelindiginde ise Dubblestandart once Return From Planet Dub albumuyle, bu albume ve yaraticilarina saygi durusunda bulundu sonra Temmuz'a gelindigindeyse Subatomic Sound System'i karsisina alip Jahdan Blakkamore'un da katlimiyla Blackboard Jungle remixlerinin yeraldigi muthis bir 12" cikardilar.Orjinal album efsane, Dubblestandart'in Lee Perry ile beraber yaptgi saygi durusu ise fevkalade.2008de de Prince Far-I ve Lee Perry ile beraber Iron Devil 12" ni cikarmisti Dubblestandart ki bu album ve 12", onun devamidir, ayni zamanda ilk official dub dubstep bulusmasidir.Assagidaki video bu olaylari ozetleyen kisa bir belgesel.Izleyelim:

Iste bu zamanlarda, hatta tarih vermek gerekirse 2006 baslari, dubstep'in basat sehirlerinden Bristol hakkinda "Living Inside The Speaker" isminde bi belgesel cekilmisti.Daha sonra DVD olarak cesitli dukkanlarda satisa sunulan bu DVDden bundan daha evvelki Bristol postunda bahsetmistim.Ozellikle Rooted Recordstan alisveris yaparken alsam mi diye dusundugum bu DVD'nin DivX versiyonunu yapimcilari bedava olarak sunmuslar.Izlemekte fayda var.
