Şu sıralar pek bi gezintide olduğumdan kendime yolluk mix hazırlıyorum. Plaklarımdan uzakta olduğum için pek reggae/dub, dubstep cenahlarına bulaşamıyorum, bulaşmak istemiyorum çünkü onlar hep plaktan canlı mix kaydı olarak sürecek. 

Bu yolluk mixlerdeyse bariz bi genre üstünlüğü yok. Kafası karışık, sakin, hiddetli, alakasız. Özet olarak, herkese göre değil, daha önceki mixler gibi hiç değil.

Uzun süredir blog'a yeni yazı koymadığım gibi selection/mix kaydetmeye de zamanım olmuyordu. Geçen baktım, en son soundcloud'a koyduğum mix 1 yıl öncesine ait. Dub Seleksiyonu ise 1 yıldan biraz daha fazla. Eh, artık vakti gelmiş yenisinin. Mixcloud 100mb sınırı koyduğundan, mixi daha oraya koyamadım. Kaydın boyutunu düşürebilirsem oraya da koyarım ama şimdilik soundcloud'a buyrun sadece...

Turntablism vs. Dubstep

I remember an old boring discussion about dubstep & turntablism at dubstepforum.
Many purists said "noooo, there is no room for turntablism in dubstep, etc etc" at that time.
Now, we got two late answers for those purists; first a short video from Dubspot's DJ Shiftee that is prepeared for Native Instruments, and a nearly 30 mins mix from X-Kutz.
The answer is obvious; everything fits with dubstep if it's nicely done.

Now, here's the zero3eleven dubstep mix. I try to follow the "strictly vinyl" rule with this again, but I've to flex that rule a little for Nodul's banger, Feriye, but it's worth.

Sound That Speaks Volumes 2010

You can all cheer up dubstepheads, that time of the year came, Plastician’s annual May Mix is out. If you are not a usual follower of the scene and don’t know what has been released so far, and the dubplates that are going to be released in next 6-7 months, this will be a great mix for you. London Pirate Radio

"Pirate radio is everywhere in London, born in the 60’s from rusting anti-aircraft towers in the mouth of the Thames. Today’s broadcasts are hidden in plain sight, transmitting from secret tower block studios via homemade rooftop antennas."

Vice and Palladium filmed a great documentary about the London's pirate radios for their documentary series, Exploration. London Pirate Radio is the sixth in these series and it features many pirate radioheads like Logan Sama, Matt Mason (author of the book The Pirate's Dilemma) and 60's original pirate Tony Pine.

Bunun farkinda olarak hazir noelde geldi, e bi hediye vereyim diye dusunmus ve bu yayinlanmamis, uzun suredir kasasinda bekleyen sarkilarini Gaslamp Killer'a vermis ki mixlesin.Eh onun da en iyi yaptigi sey bu zaten.Guzelce mixlemis bu sarkilari ve bize 38 dakika 59 saniyelik A Decade of Flying Lotus mixini hediye etmisler.

Mungo's Hi Fi present Disrupt

Mungo’s Hi Fi 24 ekimde Glasgow Artschool’da Disruptla beraber yaptiklari muthis sound system gecesinin mix kaydini paylasmis.Mungo’s bir saat boyunca dub ve dubstep dubplatelerini caldiktan sonra sahneyi Jahtariden Disrupt’a ve onun 8 bit dublariyla dolu laptopina birakmis.Disrupt’a mikrofonuyla daha evvel Mungo’s islerinde mclik yapan Soom-T eslik etmis.
Geceyi noktlarken Mungo’s tekrar gecmis sistemin basina ve selectionlarina devam etmisler.Bu sefer onlara Zeb ve Scotty eslik etmis mclik maharetleriyle.
